Responsible Service Alcohol - NOW AVAILABLE

The Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) program delivered by Hopwood Integrated Training is designed to give participants the knowledge and skills to provide responsible service and consumption of liquor in a variety of professions and premises where liquor is sold.  RSA is mandatory for anyone who works in paid employment at a licensed premise.

This Responsible Service of Alcohol qualification is often a pre-requisite for employment in a wide range of occupations in the hospitality industry. It should be noted that new employee's entering into paid employment must complete their RSA within 30 days of commencement into the role.

RSA practices are aimed at ensuring staff are skilled and knowledgeable and provide the best possible protection against breaches of the Liquor Act through the serving of minors, intoxicated or disorderly patrons.

It is widely recognised that responsible service of alcohol training is an integral tool in providing consumers with safer, more responsible venues that are committed to practicing harm-minimisation. Increasing the skill levels of people working in the industry will ultimately raise the standard of professionalism of the industry, which benefits consumers and the general public.

The unit of competency SITHFAB009A Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol is a nationally accredited unit. On successful completion of the course, participants will be provided with 2 certificates.  This will be the Nationally Accredited Statement of Attainment as well as the Queensland Liquor Licensing Certificate.
